Cant handle large amount of edges (~ >=500) #2

In a data visualisation I'm running I don't get past 500 edges - ~400 seems to be the maximum. I have about 3000 nodes with 1200 edges - it looks like the simulation starts (a few slow frames are drawn with edges visible, then the simulation stops and the nodes are distributed uniformly on the map with no edges being painted.

Thanks for flagging this! Are you using any complex widgets? Could you share a simple demo where this issue happens? That'd really help in figuring out what's going on.
