This is for whenever we get the chance--

It would be helpful to better organize our records of cores that have been taken and their status (we have all the info, but it’s not all that well organized).

Here's what we have now:

  • list_cored_trees.csv- I believe @ValentineHerr generated this based on other files
  • various other files in this repo, manually organized by @RHelcoski
  • records of trees cored as part of the mortality census, included in the mortality census data file for each year, but will be separate for 2021.

The cores themselves (except for those taken 2020-2021, which haven't been mounted) are now organized in filing cabinets in the attic. (This is a list of large cores stored separately).

We also need to work on the repo organization, including integration of new data collected in 2023 by Cameron Dow (raw data loaded here.
