The installer doesn't show any SD cards that are currently mounted. If I "Safely remove this device" or "Eject" a SD card which is inserted in a USB card reader, Ubuntu powers down the whole USB device. This makes it impossible to use the device until it has been physically unplugged and plugged back in again. If I unmount the device (sudo umount /dev/sdc1), the installer works properly.
