Jak and Daxter Trilogy crashes on boot #16314
Comments
If it is a regression you need to find the exact build that broke the game. |
mine boots just fine, (BCES01325) and the build number is 0.0.34-17098 |
@takeshineale128 I'm using BCUS98281 |
I'll do some testing to find the version where it broke |
i'm uk so i use the european versions |
mines a 10th gen intel cpu, nvidia gtx 1660, win 11 24h2 0.0.34-17098, works no problems |
after some more testing, it appears the issue only happens on AMD iGPU, but performs fine on nvidia GTX 1050 ti. Those are the only two GPUs I have to test with |
I tested with my 7900 XTX , works without problems. |
@LasagnaPie well that's it, then. should I rename the issue or close it and create a new one? |
Search for a similar issue, then reference this in the other or rename if none. iGPU issues should be discovered and noted, for any future debugging, I'd figure. Could contribute to a hardware compatibility list if that's a thing or will be. |
Quick summary
The first game in the Jak and Daxter trilogy used to be 100% completable with no obvious glitches or malfunctions, but on the latest version of rpcs3 the game is no longer bootable.
To be clear, it doesn't even get to the game select, even that's completely busted
I'm not sure when the working version was, but it was working for over a year.
