Would it be possible to change the kernel configs to enable CONFIG_HIBERNATION? For an experienced user, it wouldn't be difficult to set up hibernation and would greatly help power usage when suspended. This would also help mitigate #256 somewhat

Hibernation will need more than just a kernel change, Lots of userspace work needed as well. Your welcome to submit a PR for the work if you would like this feature.
