Having deployed the recent release of Prez v4 we are evaluating the quickest way to get a matching Prez-UI application in order to showcase the v4 backend: should we rather:

  • configure / customise the current 3.8.2 Prez-UI to make it capable querying the default and OGC endpoints provided by v4, or
  • wait for the official Prez-UI v4 release, which we presume will look like https://demo.dev.kurrawong.ai/?

Within this repo in the edmond/prez-v4 branch, there's an example prez-ui v4 in a docker-compose setup.

Our team is still working on some public-facing API for setting up prez-ui in v4 with the ability to customise various aspects of the application (theming with tailwind, overriding of header/footer or whatever component). When it is ready, which we expect it to be in early January, we will be writing up documentation on how to configure and use prez-ui v4.

Many thanks Ed, we've roughly managed to build and deploy this onto our own dev environment. Even though adjustments wrt. cascading proxies and public vs. container-local URLs remain to be made we believe we are on the good track, and will gladly report on our guinea pigs experience with your next releases in January.
