Multiple Profile URIs in Accept-Profile

A question was raised during the 2024-12-11 call of the W3C JSON-LD WG regarding Accept-Profile: Can more than one Profile URI be conveyed to indicate a preference for a combination of profiles, e.g.

Accept-Profile: <http://example.org/shapes/shape-1 http://example.org/shapes/shape-2> ; q=0.8 , <http://example.org/shapes/shape-3> ; q=0.5

The ABNF does not allow this. However, it is possible to indicate that a given representation adheres to more than one profile, e.g.:

• Using multiple links with the profile link relation type in a Link header
• The profile parameter, when defined for media types, supports a space delimited list of Profile URIs (see e.g., JSON-LD ; Linkset)
