PhotoVoyage-languages

Welcome to the PhotoVoyage-languages repository! Here, you can contribute translations for PhotoVoyage, both community-driven and official translations. Whether you're fluent in multiple languages or simply passionate about making PhotoVoyage accessible to a wider audience, your contributions are invaluable.


How to Contribute

1. Fork the Repository

Fork this repository to your GitHub account by clicking the "Fork" button at the top right corner of this page. This will create a copy of the repository under your account.

2. Clone the Repository

Clone your forked repository to your local machine using the following command:

> https://github.com/PhotoVoyage/PhotoVoyage-languages.git

3. Add Translations

Navigate to the src/languages/[Choose the language] directory, and create a new folder for the language you want to translate to. If a folder for your language already exists, feel free to contribute updates or corrections.

Within the language folder, create or edit the necessary files to add your translations. Please follow the existing file structure and naming conventions.

4. Commit Changes

After adding or editing translations, commit your changes with a descriptive commit message. This helps maintain clarity and transparency in the project's history.

> git add .
> git commit -m "Added translations for interface"

5. Push Changes

Push your committed changes to your forked repository on GitHub.

> git push origin main

6. Create a Pull Request

Once you've pushed your changes to your forked repository, navigate to the original repository on GitHub and click on the "Pull Request" button. Describe your changes and submit the pull request for review.

Guidelines

  • Follow the existing file structure and naming conventions.
  • Ensure translations are accurate and culturally appropriate.
  • If you're unsure about a translation, feel free to discuss it in the pull request or with other contributors.
