While performing the action Attach Debugger without initially performing the Start action, the following message is displayed - Failed to detect remote debug port in /home/devex/Desktop/Gilby/Maven/app-ltv-test/target/liberty/wlp/usr/servers/defaultServer/server.env.

Suggestion:
A more meaningful message would be Liberty dev mode did not start on project_name.
