Last.FM is only used to retrieve album arts (for the Discord presence) and to retrieve your total scrobble count for a certain song, if you configure Sunamu to do so. Genius is already a lyrics source, but it only offers unsynchronized lyrics so it is always used last. |

As far as I understood, the lyrics are currently retrieved from last.fm, but how about using genius.com as it's a much richer source of lyrics. On top of that, it has pretty neat API, should you need it.
Would you consider that source of lyrics? I only write in Python (meaning no TypeScript), but let me know if you need any external comment/help on that.
