Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
We have run into a number of problems recently with CUDF builds that are not compatible with the version of CMake that we are using. Ideally we should not be the only ones running the minimum version of cmake supported and finding all of these issues.

Let's try to move to a newer version of cmake. Preferably one that CUDF uses in their premerge testing so that we are less likely to be broken.
