On that page http://www.pyngl.ucar.edu/User_forum/ , there is a type_in box for searching pyngl-talk archives. Alas, it is not working, which is highly detrimental for keeping as low as possible the level of issues raising and the traffic on pyngl-talk

Search does indeed seem to be broken. @khallock it looks like there are no built-in options for searching ncl-talk. Is there a reason we can't all of the archives searchable with something like:
Thanks for reporting this issue, @senesis! I updated the search box on the PyNGL documentation page linked above, and it seems to be working now. Please let me know if it's not working for you.
@clyne Although the search is working, it seems to be unable to find recent pyngl-talk emails (the newest email indexed by Google appears to be from April 3, 2018), so it might be worth digging into this a bit more.
