Releases: MovingBlocks/Terasology
Stable 53 - the final days of Java 7
This is officially the last Java 7 compatible release, just in time for Java 7 going out of support with Oracle. Next develop build that requires Java 8 has been built and is looking good :-)
Main feature in this release might be the new server list. On the multiplayer join screen a few entries will load automatically and we can add more separately from game releases/changes. There's no formal process to have a server added to the list yet just ask us on IRC or in the forum.
Other than that there is an assortment of multiplayer usability enhancements along with various other cleanups, bug fixes, and more of the usual.
More details in the forum: http://forum.terasology.org/threads/stable-53-final-java-7-release.1274/
Edit: Just realized by releasing after having since merged the Java 8 PR into develop the attached source code actually contains the Java 8 requirement. Whoops. The zip is stable 53, source code is newer. Incidentally, broke a couple release number thus the missing 51 + 52 :-)
Stable 50 - halfway there?
Pretty nice release with some good improvements, especially for multiplayer.

Stable 49 - Happy Valentine's Day!
Fairly routine release with a new Valentines module :-)
More details: http://forum.terasology.org/threads/stable-49-happy-valentines-day.1244/
NOTE: Last release with at least the Windows executables supporting Java 7. Maybe we'll be on Java 8 entirely next release, we'll see
Stable 48 - fixy fix fix
This is mostly a bug fix release for stability
- Throughout The Ages should work again, it would crash on making the initial workstation due to a module dependency issue (wrong version used - didn't have our updated math lib set right)
- Pathfinding was broken, leading to some other big stuff not working. Quirky logistics issue caused it to be built funny. #1558
- Lots of updates and some fixes to JoshariasSurvival - even more and a demo video coming soon!
- Light & Shadow has some new blocks like banners, activity there is picking up at last :-)
- Swimming is a little less obnoxious now
- Game shouldn't crash if run from a directory with special characters in the path. #1540, #1310, #1162
- Various other fixes, refactoring, and tweaks like an option to run the game without sound enabled (for systems with broken sound or headless servers where that option is on by default)

Stable 47
Fairly routine release :-)
Details in the forum: http://forum.terasology.org/threads/stable-47-says-hi.1198/
Stable 46 - checkpoint with MOAR MODULES!
Primarily built as a checkpoint before some deeper refactoring and to roll in some recent module changes
Check out the deer with WildAnimals enabled, spawned via console using "spawnPrefab deer" or the new JoshariasSurvival gameplay template (replacement for TerraTech)

Stable 45 - redistribute all the things!
So we're getting into a module reorganization spree before hitting Alpha. Most music has been pulled out of the engine and the way we bundle modules with the game zip is changing. Right now the attached zip contains the usual module lineup (with some small changes - see forum for details) but the zip the Launcher gets you only contains the Core module. So if you go through the Launcher you won't get extra modules for a bit.
More related changes are coming and the Launcher should be tweaked to handle modules better soon, including more options.

Stable 44 - small but sweet
Brings the first relatively stable version of the headless server, more performance and stability improvements, neat new and enhanced modules, and assorted other tweaks
See its forum thread for more details
Stable build 42 - The answer to the Ultimate Question?
Major new build woo! Supports infinite height, new world gen features, better performance, a few new modules, and lots more.
See the forum for further details.
Note: NOT backwards compatible with older worlds
Stable 41 - Post-apocalyptic!
Checkpoint release after our server apocalypse and rebuild - not much new after stable 39 but rebuilt on new infrastructure with a few more bug fixes and testing!
