How to open the app after hiding it? #151
Comments
Has there still not been an answer to this? Is this a dead project? This is a major issue actually. I can't install or download any apps and it's extremely unclear how if at all possible to fix it. This has rendered my phone fairly useless with a click of one button without much warning and no easy way to undo. Can you please answer this? Edit: You can start your phone in safe mode by holding power and then holding the turn off button. This starts the phone without any apps running and you can disable/uninstall the app. This was done without root - with root access I'm not sure if this functionality is taken away somehow. Definitely a huge flaw and needs to be explained in the documentation. XDA forums also simply say "Use the Xposed manager" or something similar - but this doesn't work if you installed via the PlayStore without having an Xposed package manager installed. |
This is still valid though. At the moment, you need to use Xposed Manager to open it afterwards. |
Thanks for replying. Part of the problem is that, at least in my situation, there was no way to install Xposed. The app specifically requests that you lock down settings and application installation among a couple other things. This makes sense - so someone can't just remove the app and all of its added security, but prevents a user from installing something like Xposed after the fact. This isn't really a good answer for that reason. Perhaps you should require that Xposed be installed prior to activating the settings lock - in the meantime at least a clear warning message that you may brick your phone would be helpful. |
Well, that's true. As I said, I already have a better solution (launching MaxLock via the Dialer), it "just" needs to be released. No ETA on when that'll happen though. |
Does not seem to be any dedicated information on it and it is confusing.
