Hello,
Thanks for the tips using nc and socat to connect the serial example to the simulator! However, it is not really stable, so I wrote an udp port for the original source:
https://github.com/hdiethelm/c_uart_interface_example/tree/udp_version_dublicated_release
May be you can use this.
