I would like to collaborate to add the silicon cycle specifically for diatoms. What recommendations would you give me to make this collaboration? What code functions would you recommend I review? Some of the considerations I would like to keep in mind would be, in addition to the inclusion of this nutrient: the interrelation with cell size and mortality. Perhaps a good starting point would be to review the implementation of Darwin3?
Thank you very much :)

I'm sorry for the late response, on vacation right now.
Darwin3 is definitely a good starting point.
I would also recommend to read the code in the folder of Biogeochemistry to add silicon cycle.
The nutrient uptake and release are a bit complicated. But a good starting point is here.
Let me know if you have any question and we can set up a zoom call if necessary.
Thank you very much for your answer. Don't worry and enjoy the holidays. I'm going to follow your recommendations and review the code more carefully. My vacation also begins.
A little later when I have studied the code well and have enough doubts I will contact you again :). Greetings!
