Currently, when viewing a livestream in PeerTube the chat window is always under the video window. While this works for Normal Mode, myself and several viewers have stated they would prefer if the chat window moved to the side (preferably the right, but either side would do) of the video when in Theater Mode. It's been a while since I've used YouTube's official frontend, but I believe they do this with livestream chat.

Currently, while it is possible to scroll down and view the chat in Theater Mode, it's not a very smooth experience. It might technically be possible to pop the chat out into a separate window and overlay it, but simply relocating the chat to the side would be better if possible.

Thank you for your continued development of peertube livechat, it's been a very welcome add-on to the platform.

Hello,

What's your screen size?

Just disabling the theater mode is not OK for you?

That's basically the difference between theater and non-theater mode: in theater mode the video takes all the width.
