I was about to answer and tested my console.

I am running actually Awoo Installer 1.3.5 (commit: 4028c87) and the touch select the menu item but do not get into. no double tap, no hold tap enter on the menu, the touch is recognized but only to select the item.

could be something broke on the latest release?
