yes, the text selection option is as "select words" or "select all" this causes a problem when the cursor is with number or symbol characters the selection does not work.

Describe the solution you'd like
To be more useful I would like to be able to select the entire line of text as we use on the physical keyboard with the shift home or shift end keys, I think it would be easier to implement this since the heliboard already It has the option to move to the start/end of the line, in addition to improving the "select" button by using it with the arrow keys to fix this problem of not selecting when there are symbolic numbers.

Use case
Most of the time I want to move the cursor to the start/end of the line it is for editing, so it makes more sense to use this function with selection, it makes the workflow easier for those who type a lot.

Describe alternatives you've considered (if any)
to avoid creating a new button, you could use the existing start/end of line buttons to select when you touch it, and move without selecting when you hold it. and for the problem of the selection button itself, you could make it work together with other keys like the arrow keys I mentioned earlier, for example: when holding it and clicking with the left arrow he selects while pressing both.

(I currently use something similar to have this function, using Samsung's Edge panel I created the shift+up keys, but it doesn't work as well as the home key but in it, it's not possible to add another one key together with the "home" 😔)
