Warhammer 40,000: Darktide having strange lag in-game (usualy 10min ingame playing) #2212

(ValveSoftware/Proton#6573 (comment)) made issue under Darktide issues tracker.

Game and settings work well, at some point inside game, usually in first map, in-game about 10 min. about game starts lagging, lagging hard (feels like a massive frame skipping).

Proton log is full of:
14039.614:0270:031c:warn:vkd3d-proton:d3d12_command_list_QueryInterface: {5b2662fb-eb28-4aec-819e-1c1b4de060f6} not implemented, returning E_NOINTERFACE.
14039.615:0270:03b8:warn:vkd3d-proton:vkd3d_native_sync_handle_release: Failed to release semaphore (#12a).

Seems to be VKD3d-proton issue? If not please just close this issue. Issue started with September major update 1.5.0+

Darktide, maxed settings, using DLSS (Quality)

System information

  • GPU: nVidia 4080
  • Driver: 565.57.01
  • Proton version: Tried Experimental, Experimental (BE), 8.0-5, 9.0-3 and GE_18
  • Using gamemode (tried with and without, same issue)
