Cursor appears at the beginning of the selected date in 7.3.0

Not sure if this is intentional but after updating from 5.1.0 to 7.3.0 when you select a date the cursor in the input element appears at the beginning of the date text instead of at the end. Is this a regression that is going to be addressed in the future? Adding a customInput seems to fix it but I feel it shouldn't be necessary.
