There has been an extremely high load on server 2 (where the DoH server is located) since last December. Server CPU is always >90%, but the main issue is that bandwith usage is out of normal. +250GB transferred since March 1 only through DNS requests. DoH is not the cause. Server 1 works as normal.
It's obvious that there is an ongoing DNS attack, but HSD doesn't give me many tools to figure out where the issue is, and block the required IPs, if possible. I will probably need to install some kind of "honeypot" for a few hours just to check if there are some IPs that cause that high server load, and try to block them within the server's firewall.
Knowing that I have aprox. 3TB of network bandwith per month, it basically leaves me without bandwith for my websites and other services. Thus, I need to shut down the server from time to time.
I might consider moving the DoH server to server 1 instead, since it isn't the issue.
Any help with regard to the issue will be greatly appreciated.
