UMS crash on Nokia 8 TA-1012

When I open UMS 1.6.2 (an older versions), it crashes with à message about FUSE kernel ans other mass storage things.

Do you plan to correct the issue, or is my phone just not compatible with UMS ? (I saw a message about flashing kernel, what's that ?)

Probably yes. Your kernel might not be supporting the USB gadget driver I think.
Please contact one of your device developers in forums like XDA and request them build a custom kernel with that driver.
