The temperature takes a long time to change. Even more critical when I place headlights or campfires. #892

What's the issue you encountered?

I understand the mechanics of the mod, and sometimes I'm busy organizing my inventory, fighting, or building, etc, and I realize that my temperature has dropped or risen critically and the effect is going to start hurting me, then I place a lantern or a campfire to warm me up or cool me down and it takes forever to take effect or change the temperature in the area or it just doesn't do anything. It's critical because you die unfairly.
The effect should be instantaneous when you get close or have it in your hand, walking around with the uncertainty of whether the next time it will take effect or save you is too annoying and makes the experience very uncomfortable and not enjoyable.

How can the issue be reproduced?

just go to the nether and take the items that are supposed to cool you down (lantern, ice, etc) (not edible, but placeable), wait for the heat to start with the flame indicator, and immediately place the item to cool you down, it will take too much or just do nothing.
relying on edible things is not worth it except for an emergency because they only stack to 16.
or its counterpart, go to a snowy climate, wait for yourself to start freezing, place a simple vanilla campfire and you will see that it does nothing.

Mod Version

1.21.0 and i think the newers or other versions also

Additional information

It's simply making the temperature effect of vanilla objects instantaneous.
