related idea: making views more compact to reduce need for large scrolls

position sticky might have trouble potentially due to only being relative to parent container (the view)...but could be worth investigating more. could also look at position fixed maybe

I made a demo of what this could possibly look like, with the view header and the first track pinned in two separate views. This uses the browser's position: sticky, although in making this demo I realized that this might involve quite a few code changes. I'll elaborate more in a draft PR next week.
