# Introduction 

The FMG toolbox was developed by USACE foresters and geographers to implement 
the forest monitoring protocols established by the [Upper Mississippi River Systemic Forest Stewardship Plan](https://www.mvd.usace.army.mil/Portals/52/docs/regional_flood_risk_management/our_mississippi/UMRSystemicFSP7-26-12.pdf), [Executive Summary](https://www.mvd.usace.army.mil/Portals/52/docs/regional_flood_risk_management/our_mississippi/UMR/UMR%20Systemic%20FSP%20-%20Exec%20Summary%20Aug%202012.pdf).  

The FMG is a geodatabase intended for use in Esri ArcGIS. The database is 
contained as an Esri personal geodatabase (.gdb), and should only be viewed, 
edited, etc. in ArcPro,ArcCatalog, ArcMap, or other Esri ArcGIS products. 


## A section

All chapter sections start with a second-level (`##`) or higher heading followed by your section title, like the sections above and below here. You can have as many as you want within a chapter.

### An unnumbered section {-}

Chapters and sections are numbered by default. To un-number a heading, add a `{.unnumbered}` or the shorter `{-}` at the end of the heading, like in this section.
