One more question about writing to .ics files

Hello, in 2021 there was a question asked at issue 991 about how to choose where the offline calendar file is saved on the device.

This would be extremely useful in order to be able to sync this offline file using syncthing and accessing it for example with thunderbird on another device.

The issue was closed as "solved" with the recommendation that the user should use ICSx5. However, the user pointed out (correctly) that icsx5 does not support two-way sync. So in my opinion the issue was not closed properly. Could this be revisited?
