Many soil types use this as the definition source: FAO:http://fao.org/ag/agl/agll/wrb/doc/wrb2006final.pdf

(aside: we should use URLs for URLs and not pseudo-CURIEs like this, the above form dates back to oboedit conventions)

grep -c http://fao.org/ag/agl/agll/wrb/doc/wrb2006final.pdf envo-edit.owl

I am not sure what the best replacement is, and archive.org is down because of DDOS attacks right now.

Note that MIxS have switched to using ISRIC GenomicsStandardsConsortium/mixs#726

Hi,

https://wrb.isric.org/documents/ has the latest and prior versions of the World Reference Base for Soil Resources. The latest (4th) edition came out in 2022. The new link for the 2006 version of WRB is here: https://wrb.isric.org/files/WRB_2006_FAO_Report_103.pdf

There is also a the FAO guidelines for soil description (2006; different document from the WRB classification/taxonomic system) which can be found here: http://www.fao.org/docrep/019/a0541e/a0541e.pdf
