I'm not sure what JFF you're talking about, but quite often video services use direct link to .mp4/webm file for low-res videos (since the file size is small), and switch to streaming for high-res videos.
If my extension can't see the link the button will not appear. And saving streams is a complex task and it's absolutely outside of the scope of this extension.
If you give me the link I can take a look, but most likely there's nothing can be done. You could try yt-dlp or something similar for downloading videos.

when loading a video by default at 540, the icon appears. but when changing to 1080, it not longer appears (control+alt+hover doesn't work either)
