I assume you're referring to xarray dropping py27 support? Brewster is working with James to migrate the impact projection code to py27 - this is the only part of the process that requires 27 so we should be able to drop support soon. I think testing against the version of xarray that supports 27 for now, with the expectation that we can drop this soon, is the right approach.
