I don't think the version is needed when creating an application policy port.

You add a policy port by passing in the ID of the policy. The ID of the policy is from the Application and Version of the application.

Having or not having the version number has no impact on creating policy ports that i can tell. I'm leaving it out of the module.
It may be worth reviewing the documentation.
