Build specific interfaces for different transcription environments:

  1. right to left text
  2. columnar texts
  3. scrolls and long images
  4. epitaphs and inscriptions
  5. poetry

In addition to offering more features for establishing the spatial organization of a given page, this would, I hope, address some of the problems w column setting in general.

What are some specific cases for "problems w columns"? I know one nearly impossible case is the glosses that surround the main text like brackets, creating three columns - two that meet in the middle and one that spans them both in the center third of the page. Hopefully, better bounding for non-rectangular regions [#12] will help out in this case.
