Separating the service from the interface will allow users to test several algorithms for automatic parsing and select the best one for use on other pages and make universal adjustments to the images before submission such as contrast, rotation, etc.

This sounds great, but I have to say that I've been really impressed with the visibility of my uploaded images in T-Pen.
