Bundled Products Non-Support

I understand that this doesn't support Bundled products or gift cards, but on my dev site it makes bundle products completely out of stock and unbuyable. The list of bundled products disappears from the product detail page. I was expecting it to not work for bundled products, meaning just that it would not track inventory. Is what I am describing the expected behavior? My use case is we want to track inventory on certain products only on the retail side of the site, on the wholesale inventory will be turned off for all products.
