I understand that DWIConvert is specifically designed for DWI data that is typically only acquired with Axial slices. However, it is a very powerful and robust tool for general image conversion, with powerful features like de-mosaicing images. One issue I noticed is that it appears to get the anterior-posterior dimension flipped when confronted with coronal mosaic images - the issue is seen in both the NIfTIs and NRRDs. The coronal images in the dcm_qa exhibit this issue. I am using version /Applications/Slicer.app/Contents/lib/Slicer-4.10/cli-modules/DWIConvert version: 4.8.0.
