python import chaser args

How to chaser args work?

I started with https://github.com/Autodesk/maya-usd/blob/dev/test/lib/mayaUsd/fileio/testImportChaser.py

I'm setting an arg in my import command

mayaUsd.lib.ImportChaser.Register(ImportChaserTest, name)
cmds.mayaUSDImport(v=True, f=usd_path, chaser=[name], chaserArgs=[(name, 'namespace', 'ENV')])

If I print out jobArgs in my chaser I don't really see anyway to access the values and it's dict is empty. It doesn't have any public methods

The jobArgs is found in the factoryContext argument passed to the __init__() function of your import chaser:

    def __init__(self, factoryContext, *args, **kwargs):
        super(importChaserTest, self).__init__(factoryContext, *args, **kwargs)
        self.namespace = factoryContext.GetJobArgs()[name]['namespace']
