Virtual devices for Homey Bridge #156
Comments
Hey. Thanks for you comment. Facing reality, my last update was 15 months ago. Since then Homey Bridge is there and this is the first time that I heard it is not working. And although I still own and use a Homey (an old one, not a Bridge, not even a Pro), I've lost interest for developing apps. So, no plans. |
Hi Arjan,
I couldn't say whether it is working, as unfortunately the Homey app store wont install it on a Homey Bridge - it seems to be configured for Homey Pro only.
Appreciate that you have retired from developing it.
Thanks for letting me know
Regards Simon.

Thanks for your interest in the VD app, though. And for sharing your idea. I'll keep it open. It may inspire others.

Hi, any plans to port virtual devices to Homey Bridge?
It would be great to have virtual devices on Homey Bridge. Just a simple Virtual Doorbell would be a great start, if that virtual doorbell then appeared as a device in Alexa.
If I could set the state of the virtual doorbell in a Homey Bridge flow, then it would allow me to interact with Amazon Alexa and trigger Alexa routines to operate on device that only Alexa manages.
