As mentioned by @ingomohr here, we should create an e4 product for the project. This is particularly important for setting Sample Commander's default preferences.

@AObuchow A couple of days you mentioned that you'd liked to integrate the Sample-Commander w/ Eclipse. - In that case we wouldn't need a product - because Eclipse itself is the product.
Or did you mean to have the option to integrate w/ Eclipse and also have a dedicated Sample-Commander app?

@ingomohr yes it should be both a standalone application and a plugin for existing eclipse IDE users :) Currently it’s only a plugin.

The target audience (music producers) aren’t going to be familiar with eclipse. However, general eclipse users might find sample commander useful as a plugin for their existing install of the IDE.

I should also mention that the product should ideally ship with the required bundle to run the Eclipse software update site wizard. This way existing users can update sample commander when new updates come out.
